It has been sometime that I even logged in to my own blog. Considering I am the only one reading (writing) it and no comments were made, I guess this is more like a personal journal. And that is good enough for me. A place to pour some thoughts from time to time just to keep my mind working and maybe generate some "random thoughts" that may prove to be beneficial even if only to myself.

As a lot of other people I am also "hording" certain ammunition calibers, but not because I think the Government will take them away from us (at least not completely), but because I believe prices will go up as the demand has outpaced the supply. As long as I can find cheap, quality ammo I will keep buying it. Every time I go at the range it is easy to go through several boxes especially on handguns and semi-auto rifles. And I definitely advocate practice to get familiar and proficient with any weapon, also for my kids. I want them to be familiar and be able to handle a rifle, shotgun or handgun as this is the only safe way. Accidents happens when people are not familiar with a weapon and they get scared. Or act tough without knowing what they are doing. Ignorance and stupid people kill other people. Training and knowledge do not.

Enough of this as we are already bombarded from every direction on the issue of gun control. Just for the records, I believe more law abiding citizens (and teachers) should carry. And people with certain mental illnesses should be institutionalized. Yes, it sounds harsh, but that would be better than leave some unstable person out and about killing several people by driving a car. Oh... you thought I was going to say using a gun? To put in perspective, how many people are killed each year by drunk drivers? Than shouldn't we ban alcohol altogether? And how many abortions are performed each year? Let's be "realistic" and not just follow an agenda.

I said "enough of this" and here I go in another little "soap box" tirade.
